Capability: TinyFish plugin (ChatGPT, Claude) or MCP connector (any other client)
Use this when you want to run TinyAgent from inside a chat — ChatGPT or Claude — instead of the Playground or the API. Connect once; every goal after that is just a chat message.

Connect Once

1

Open the plugin

Add TinyFish to ChatGPT

Opens the official TinyFish plugin in a new tab
2

Install and authenticate

Tap Install plugin, then complete the OAuth sign-in with your TinyFish account when prompted.

Run a Goal

Once connected, describe the task in plain language — no separate URL field, no code:
The assistant calls TinyFish’s run_web_automation tool, streams progress as it works, and returns the result inline in the chat. For a long-running task, ask it to run in the background instead:
Ask it to run in the background to keep the chat free — ChatGPT otherwise waits on the run, and Claude only goes async when asked. See Available Tools for the full tool list and what triggers each one.

Authenticated or Recurring Tasks

If the task needs a logged-in session — a dashboard, an account page, a form behind a login wall — say so directly:
The assistant passes use_profile: true (and profile_id if you name a specific one). Set up the profile first — see Create a Google Form and Publish It With a Signed-In Account for the setup flow, which applies the same way from a chat client. Pair it with Vault (use_vault: true) so a stale session can be repaired instead of stalling on a login screen — see Scrape Content Behind a Login Using Vault.

Common Mistakes

The most common way a chat-triggered run doesn’t finish is a login wall the agent can’t get past on its own. Name a saved Browser Context Profile or enable Vault explicitly in the prompt — don’t assume the assistant will ask for credentials on its own.
The same prompting rules apply in chat as everywhere else — a vague goal like “get the pricing” returns a vague result. Be specific about fields and format, same as the Goal Prompting Guide recommends for the API.
If the assistant says it can’t browse the web or doesn’t offer to run the task, the plugin or connector likely isn’t installed or authenticated yet. Revisit Connect Once above — reinstalling is safe and doesn’t create a duplicate connection.
